Hamburg DOM Northern Germany's biggest funfair
The Hamburger Dom is the biggest public festival in the north of Germany. Three times a year you can experience fun, nostalgia and thrills.
Northern Germany's biggest funfair
For 30 days during summer, winter and spring, Hamburg’s citizens and visitors have a wonderful time walking across the Heiligengeistfeld with its many exciting attractions. From vintage horse-carousels and show-booths to thrilling high-tech rides — there is something fun for everyone at the Hamburg DOM. You’ll also find delicious food, from sweets and traditional snacks to hearty multi-course meals.
A very special attraction at the DOM are the fireworks that can be seen every Friday night at 10:30 p.m..
Wednesday is family-day
Every Wednesday, visitors of the Hamburg DOM enjoy discounts on rollercoaster rides and other attractions.
In summer 2016, there will be 4 new rides at the funfair:
- Jekyll & Hyde: At 125 km/h, this rollercoaster comes with a free new hairstyle.
- Extasy – The classic “Magic Carpet” ride with a twist.
- Big Bamboo – Live shows and entertainment set in a tropical background.
- Crazy Island – An adventure tour through a Carribean landscape for the young and old.
The Oriental Bazaar at Hamburg Dom funfair offers a Middle East-themed area complete with food stalls, belly-dancing and even an oasis.
High Wire Motorcycle Show
Every day at 7 p.m. from August 17 to 24 2016 the high wire motorcycle artists at the Hamburg Dom will fascinate visitors with a unique stunt show. The height of the masts and launching pads are record-breaking and some of the motorcycle stunts are performed at a height of 40 metres.
